ATHENS S.A.S. was founded by Angel Varela, a Machine Learning Researcher and Algorithmic Trading Engineer focused on building AI-driven financial systems.
With early roots in artificial intelligence research and quantitative modeling, he transitioned into investment management to apply machine learning directly to live markets. Since then, his work has centered on developing automated trading infrastructure, scalable bot ecosystems, and data-driven investment strategies.
At ATHENS, he leads the design and deployment of systematic trading technologies built for performance, discipline, and institutional-grade execution.
